The Irenses team have a strong background in athletics, both competing in the sport and with our work for Athletics Ireland. So I was delighted to see the winged foot of The New York Athletic Club on the corner of the NYAC building just off Central Park NYC on recent visit. The New York Athletic Club founded in 1868, is one of the most successful clubs in the world and was represented by 39 athletes in the 2004 Athens Olympics and over the years the NYAC representatives have won 123 Olympic Gold medals, 39 Silver medals and 52 Bronze Medals. It is certainly a centre of sporting excellence!
