Bar Camp Cork

Off to Barcamp Cork tomorrow. Really looking forward to it as it’ll be the first one I can attend.

Thanks in advance to the organisers and sponsors. Like Refresh Dublin it’s a great example of volunteer spirit.

Also good call on the Cork International Airport Hotel, a truly unique location. As far removed from the traditional idea of an airport hotel as you can get. A great example of using design to differentiate yourself from the competition.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday to my Dad, Pat O’Gorman who celebrated his 70th on November 9th! I got him a Fuji Film digital camera for his birthday so I’ll post some of his shots in the coming months. As my dad has always said “you’re never too old to learn”. We’ll see if he is true to his word!

Pat O' Gorman

Here’s a photo I took of him this summer as he rested while looking out of the living room window. It might not quite live up to my old boss Frank Fernandez or Nadav Kander standards but I’ll work on it for his 71st!

Out for a walk the other day and saw this old building which I had to explore, I found these old stone steps leading up to the light especially cool.

I saw this sign while helping a neighbour find his lost dog and had to photograph the sign. We didn’t find the dog or the shop on the sign but eventually the dog did turn up later that night.
